Pastor Billy Tweeddale and his wife Jennifer, from Oceanview Fellowship in Indialantic, Florida, organized and led a team of volunteers from Florida Charis Churches to the Bahamas October 29-November 3. Their purpose was to assist a Haitian Charis Church in a Church building addition project. Pastor Dumont Cardichon, CVM Board Secretary and Caribbean Shepherd, was part of the Team in order to assist them with their needs.
Pastor Billy, along with Dumont, had taken a prior team in February 2024 to begin construction on a building addition to New Vision of the New Revelation Church. When the Team departed, Pastor Limage Philogen and the church members continued working on the building as funds and time allowed.
Pastor Billy and Jennifer mobilized many of their friends and the Charis Churches in Florida to PRAY and GIVE FINANCIALLY so that the construction on the building could be moved forward more quickly by an October Team. God answered the prayers of His people…they gave…and the Team was formed and sent out with much prayer for them. Thank you Florida Charis Churches for your gracious giving to this project.
This Team was a little different than a lot of building teams. It included three father & son combinations and three wives joined their husbands on the trip. It was truly a family affair. Pastor Dumont reports that this was a hard-working group. He said, “The most powerful workers were the young men who did a great and wonderful job with so much professionalism, and with so much common commitment. I encourage you all to pray that God’s blessings be upon these young men.” The Team Members were Pastor Billly Tweeddale, Pastor Frank Campana, Pastor Dumont Cardichon, Dave & Solomon Simmons; Jim & Tim Mayes; Paul & John Morton; Chris Handley; and Moses Scroggins. In addition, Jennifer Tweeddale, Dana Mayes and Lisa Campana accompanied the Team which was great also.
New Vision of the New Revelation Church is vital to the growth of the Charis Alliance among Haitians in the Bahamas. Pastor Limage reports that “the training of leaders and Pastors is the greatest challenge for the churches in the Bahamas.” He said “the greatest opportunity for our churches in the Bahamas is the opportunity for theological education through a Theological Institute founded by Caribbean Vision Ministries.” When the
addition to the Church is complete and furnished a new Grace Theological Institute will be established in the building. This will provide for theological education for the Haitian community in that area of the Bahamas. As Caribbean Vision Ministries, the Florida Charis Churches and the Charis Alliance of the Bahamas work together the Great Commission will be carried out in a greater way.
You can help God’s Church in the Bahamas reach many people for Jesus Christ and bring them to spiritual maturity by supporting Caribbean Vision Ministries in their efforts to train leaders and Pastors for the churches in the Bahamas. Your prayers will bring a great harvest of souls. Your financial gifts will help to provide the necessary funds for training the leaders and Pastors for the work of the ministry.
