OUR HISTORY
The Idea
In the year 2000, Pastor Elysee Joseph and Dr. Chuck Davis had a vision of planting Haitian churches in South Florida that would reach people for Christ and train them in the Word of God and produce Godly living and Caribbean Vision Ministries was born. God has done a great work from this small beginning. God has used many different people, churches, and Christian organizations to be a part of God working among the Haitian people. There are hundreds of thousands of Haitians living in the United States who need Christ, and many live in South Florida.
Move to Haiti
In 2005 the churches in this U.S. movement wanted to tell the people in Haiti about Jesus. The Leadership Team made a trip to Haiti, and a ministry in Haiti was established. Now there is a movement of churches in Haiti including over forty-five churches and church plants in various growth and development stages. There is an established Bible Institutes, satellite campuses, several church schools, and a medical clinic.
The Bahamas
In recent years the Haitian Pastors in South Florida have reached out to Haitians living in the Bahamas, and now three Haitian churches have been established in Nassau and have joined the movement. A cooperating local church Bible Institute is providing bible training for this movement in the Bahamas. Around 50,000 Haitians live in the Bahamas and need to hear the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and experience salvation in Him.
Trinidad
In the year 2000 we went to Trinidad to share the gospel with the many people in spiritual darkness. Cornerstone of Grace Fellowship, located near Kelly Village, is in the middle of the battle for people's souls. Just a short distance from major Muslim mosques and many Hindu temples, the church is truly a lighthouse for Christ. GO2Trinidad Teams go to Trinidad to help Cornerstone of Grace Fellowship in their ministry reach people for Christ, train people for Christ, and send people for Christ.
