HAITI - WHAT A TRIP!!

Our team of 12 Americans and 5 Haitians were able to meet some of the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of over 350 people. A very high value for Three Strands' teams is to pray with as many patints as possible, and we did just that on this trip.
Stories of abuse, fear, addiction, and hunger were common place for our prayer team. Words cannot describe the positive reaction of people when our pastoral team took interest and prayed with them. Several people asked Christ to become their personal Savior. I like when our teams experience eternal results!

TEACHING TEAM HEADED TO GRACE THEOLOGICAL INSTITUTE IN MAY
In addition to the regular curriculum at GRACE we also offer to the students and Pastors of Cap Haitien an opportunity to share in the teaching ministry of qualified Pastors and Bible Instructors from other countries.
A teaching team composed of Pastor Roger Dabideen (Grace Church, Trinidad), Pastor Dan Travis (Palmyra, PA GBC) and Pastor Richard Schnieders (Friendship Community Church, Ft. Myers, FL) will teach about 100 Pastors & students for three days in May.
The dates are May 6-8 and the topics will include Leadership Principles for the Local Church, The Teaching Methods of the Apostle Paul, and The Teaching Methods of Jesus Christ. We are thankful for these Pastors and their investment in the lives of the spiritual leaders of Haiti.
We strongly believe that the key to changing Haiti is the message of Jesus Christ proclaimed faithfully by trained Pastors and church leaders who know the Word of God.

HOUSE OF HOPE ORPHANAGE

The children at House of Hope Orphanage are cared for by wonderful staff people who truly love these 40 kids. The Director, Pastor Abner Joly & his wife & three children, live among these children almost 365/24/7 seeing that their needs are met. Because of our staff and God's provision these children really do see HOPE in an often hopeless society.

And we have some wonderful people who help to provide the financial needs of the children by sponsoring a child for $30.00 each month. That amount of money doesn't cover the cost of operating the Orphanage but it really does help in providing for the needs of the children. We have 15 children at this time who are not sponsored and we would appreciate it if you would consider sponsoring one of our children.

House of Hope Orphanage provides for each child: housing, food, medical care, proper shower & toliet facilities, an education, clothing, spiritual training, adult oversight & supervision, and a place to worship. We also have a farm (garden area) and a rabbit project. We are also working on vocational training for those at an age to leave House of Hope. Your sponsorship of one of the children will yield great results for an average of $1.00 per day.
