GOD’S WILL? Sometimes one may question God’s Will but very often God’s Will is so crystal clear that every Christian should know it and follow it. But of course if God’s Word, the Bible, is not acknowledged as God’s authoritative book for directions for the Christian’s life then “crystal clear” becomes “cloudy” and “confused” and “personal choices.” But if a Christian does not acknowledge God’s Word as their guidebook for life then how do they become a Christian in the first place and what do they choose to follow if not God’s Word? After all, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God,” (Romans 10:17 NKJV). When God’s Word is “crystal clear” should not all Christians be on the “same page?” Why then do we have so many Christians divided over God’s Will today when the bible is so clear on certain issues?
“It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit,” (1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 NIV).
Our society is permeated by sexual immorality including homosexuality, pornography, filthy movies, videos, CD’s and TV programming, filthy magazines and other literature, sex change operations, abortions, and corruption of our educational systems even to the point of some “Christians” wanting to do away with Christian schools. And on we could go. God’s people should know that it is God’s will that we avoid these things. And yet many people who claim the name of “Christian” have become slaves to these things and actually promote the advancement of these things even at the cost of human lives. It is time for God’s people to repent, confess our sins in these areas, receive forgiveness from God and begin to live Holy lives. After all our holy lives will please God and help others to do the same. And remember what God makes “crystal clear” Satan will attempt to make “cloudy” or “unclear” through the world system.
