I WONDER? I think Christians on social media are far too involved in political commentary, people and government bashing, and even trashing others who disagree with them on just about any subject. I wonder what changes Christians could bring about in society if equal time were spent in practicing God’s admonitions in our lives. The Apostle Paul offered God’s thoughts on first things first in the Christian life.
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth,” (1 Timothy 2:1-4 NIV).
I wonder if prayer and Godly words and living will not produce more change in our society than inflamed rhetoric and destructive actions that tear down and divide. Surely we are able to express ourselves in a Godly manner that may offer hope for Godly change rather than demonic driven words that tear us apart. This does not call for us to abandon our biblical principles but rather to share our principles in a Godly manner. Just wondering...
