CHILDREN VS ADULTS! “Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right,” (Proverbs 20:11 NIV). Even children gain a reputation early in life. Some children seem to be easy going and appear to always do the “right” thing. Others always seem to be in to everything and causing discord and chaos wherever they go. Actions early in life are important but the actions of a child are not always indicative of what the future holds for them. Maybe observing my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren has brought this to mind but really my thoughts are on Psalm 15 and the life actions that reflect on adults and their relationship to God.

The Psalmist asked, “Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill?” (Psalm 15:1 NIV). In our Christian language of today and within the context of actions related to faith we may say, “What does a Christian look like and how does a Christian act?” Or we might say, “Even a Christian is known by his actions.” While it is possible for a non-Christian to have moral actions that imitate Christian actions, at the least the Christian should reflect the actions and principles outlined in God’s Word. To that end I would ask you to reflect on the five verses of Psalm 15 today. The principles noted there are worthy of our consideration and practice and are repeated in different ways throughout the New Testament. As you evaluate your actions in relationship to this passage of Scripture you may also need to consider and practice 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness,” (NIV). What do your actions reveal about you today? ("Daily Reflections On God's Word" Volume 1 by Dr. Chuck Davis).
