THE BLESSED HOPE MOMENT OF REALITY! What will happen at the moment the Blessed Hope noted in Titus 2:13 becomes reality? I encourage you to read the bible passages noted here so you can see God’s truth for yourself. Several things are going to happen at the same time when Jesus appears in His glory to rapture the church. In 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 the Apostle Paul tells us there will be an instantaneous change marked by three things: in a flash we are gone from planet earth; our earthly body is changed to a heavenly body; and we are given an eternal body. This great change will be experienced by all Christians living on every corner of planet earth and will exclude all non-Christians. It is the event the Church, the body of Christ, has been looking forward to since the beginning of the Church.
Another thing that will happen according to 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 is a meeting in the air that will encompass all the Christians who have died before this great event to be joined with all the Christians who are living at the time of this event. Both groups will meet Jesus and the heavenly host in the air. What a Blessed Hope this is and what a glorious time it will be. The trials and tribulations of this earthly life will be finished and the heavenly life will begin. We will see Jesus face to face and as the bible says, “we will be like Him for we shall see Him as He is” (1 John 3:2 NIV). What more could a Christian ask for than to be like Jesus and be with Him for all eternity? What a blessed Hope! Even so come Lord Jesus!
As Christians we should be living in great hope that Jesus will appear at any moment and the trust we have placed in Jesus will be brought to fruition. But what about those who live around us who don’t have this Blessed Hope? What are we doing to help them? What about our relatives and friends who don’t know Jesus as their Savior and Lord? Are we doing anything to make sure they receive the message of salvation so they also have an opportunity to receive Jesus as their Savior? People all around us are spiritually lost, without hope, and often living in despair. Often we invite them to an event such as a ballgame, party, or concert but have we ever given them an opportunity to prepare for the greatest event we Christians will ever participate
in? Share the Blessed Hope today. ("Daily Reflections On God's Word" Volume 1 by Dr. Chuck Davis).
