OUCH! Think about this for a moment. "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God," (1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV). I think many people do what they do for themselves or for their own glory. Or maybe they do it to help someone else because it is the right thing to do. But think about what God's Word is saying here. Even in the basic and most simplistic of things in our daily life we are to do it in a way that will bring glory to God. From breakfast to dinner and in all activities in between we are to bring glory to God. From the first waking moment to the first Z at night God is to be gloried through our actions. Ouch! Ouch! When I think about my own life and activities I have to evaluate things in light of the above verse and see how I am doing and how I can improve. How about you? Here is one area of our life we should consider. Social media is big these days. Wouldn't it be great if all Christians followed the principle outlined in the above Bible verse and did all their Posts to the glory of God? Some of the things I see on social media today that have a professing Christian’s name attached to it cause me to have concerns and questions about their desire to do all “for the glory of God.” We as Christians need to be careful that we don’t fall into the devil’s trap of using a valuable resource that has been given us to hamper the work of God instead of bringing glory to God.
