SATAN’S GREAT TOOL! Condemnation is a prime tool in Satan’s tool box. Satan uses this tool to try and make the Christian feel guilt-ridden, rejected and condemned by God. It is true Christians do sin and Satan constantly reminds us of it. Christians do fail way too often to live up to their name. Often we are not Christ-like and we know it. What we want to do we often fail to do. Christians are humans with human failures. But God knows that. That is why Jesus came and died on the cross for all our sins: past, present and future. That is why God has assured us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1John 1:9 NIV)
Satan is our enemy. He will play mind games with us. And we will often get down on ourselves and maybe become depressed. God knows how we often view ourselves wrongly, maybe even harshly and we fail to remember God's love and care for us. But God has promised us this: "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus," (Romans 8:1 NIV). In Jesus we find freedom and relief from all condemnation. In Jesus we find forgiveness and hope for now and eternity. We are not sinless but we are forgiven. We are not condemned but we are loved with an eternal undying love by our heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ.
