LAST WORDS AND ACTIONS DO MATTER!
LAST WORDS AND ACTIONS DO MATTER! Have you ever thought about what your last words and last actions in this life will be? What people say and do just prior to death are usually very important to people who remain on earth after someone dies. The last verse in the Book of Acts describes what the Apostle Paul was doing while he was confined in Rome awaiting trial on false charges and which ultimately probably led to his execution. The Word of God says, “He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance,” (Acts 28:31 NIV). Paul at the end of his life said just what he began saying from the moment of his salvation. He was consistent in his beliefs, his words and his actions. What greater thing could be said of us when we face difficult circumstances or even approaching death? Sometimes our weak witness for God puts us to shame. If even in the best of circumstances we don't witness for Jesus what will we do in the difficult times? At the end of our lives what will be the testimony concerning us? What we do consistently on a daily basis will probably be the epitaph at the end of our lives. Reflect for a moment and answer the question, “Am I consistent in my beliefs, words, and actions?”
