NOT HIDDEN FROM GOD!
NOT HIDDEN FROM GOD! Calvary Missionary Evangelical Church in Lake Park, Florida is a little hard to find. You could drive right past it and not know it even if you are looking for it. It is in a non-descript building next to a business establishment. And the church has legal status in contrast to some other ethnic congregations in South Florida. Pastor Jude is a Pastor with a big heart and a love for His small congregation that is evident for all to see and hear. His entire family is involved in ministry in the church, from training the children on Saturday for lack of space in their facility, to leading the music and audio visuals on Sunday and the other days they meet. This church reminds me of most of the churches Millie and I have worked with in our years of ministry. Did I mention this is a Haitian church?
Pastor Dumont Cardichon, my faithful friend and co-worker in the ministry, and I have the privilege of sharing the pulpit at Calvary Missionary Evangelical Church with Pastor Jude. Dumont preaches on the third Sunday of every month and I speak on the fourth Sunday of every month. I consider it a great privilege to be allowed to be a part of this church plant and I look forward to helping them grow as a church anyway that I can. They bear a great testimony for Jesus among the Haitian community in Lake Park, FL, which is just on the Northern outskirts of West Palm Beach. They are helping Caribbean Vision Ministries in their ministry at House of Hope Orphanage in Haiti and they are working hard to evangelize the Haitian community in Lake Park. As all small church plants they see good times and difficult times. I would love to have all our friends involved with us in this church plant especially through prayer but also maybe you could send a financial love gift to help them as well as they have many needs at this time in getting established. If you have ever attended or served in a small beginning church you understand their needs and struggles and you could be a blessing to them with your assistance. Please join with me in helping them. Send your prayers toward heaven and your gifts to Caribbean Vision Ministries, 14458 Via Royale, Delray Beach, FL 33446 or go to our website and use Paypal. That address is caribbeanvisionministries.org. Mark your gift: Calvary Church.
God said regarding the foundation and building of the temple in the days of Zachariah the prophet, “Who dares despise the day of small things,” (Zachariah 4:10 NIV). Most churches still start small and in these days when people seem to adore “big things” they are often despised. But I count it a privilege to be part of a missionary outreach that follows the marching orders of Jesus, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the end of the age,” (Matthew 28:18-20). How about you? Is following the marching orders of Jesus still a privilege for you?
