ATTITUDE - “People may hear your words but they feel your attitude.” I don’t know who said it but I certainly know what they mean. Even a casual observance of the people around us will reveal the reality of this quote. I wonder about us as Christians and our words toward the “unlovable” of the world. I believe we know all the words to use to try and convince the “unlovable” that we love them but does our attitude (via actions) actually match up to our words? The Apostle Paul said, “You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had,” (Philippians 2:5 NLT). We are talking about a settled, firm, convicted state of mind that determines our actions in life. It is not an “act” but a reality in all of our life just as it was with Jesus. What we say, we live all the time. Our words will not only tell people we love them but our attitude will also reflect it. How’s your attitude toward life in general and specifically in the “unlovable” people of life in particular?
