Trinidad Church Building Project

(Roger & Kumarie Dabideen and some baptized converts in growing congregation)

Greetings!

Planting churches is hard work and church planters need help. I was saved in a church plant in Sacramento, CA in 1964 and since that day my wife Millie and I have been involved in church planting in one form or another. So I know how young Pastors and new Christians labor to win people to Christ and then labor to build their own building to house their congregation. They want their building to be a light house in a community and be a base from which Christians can be trained and more churches can be planted.

When you reside in a country like Trinidad where the Hindu religion permeates the country and Hindu temples are everywhere and where the Catholic Church dominates the majority of people, church planting is difficult. Islam and all other religions are celebrated, and the celebration of the pagan Carnival season is praised by the government and exalted by most except for the minority of evangelicals.

It can be really hard to plant a bible believing church in the above mentioned conditions but in a society where land is extremely expensive near cities (think U.S. prices) and the minimum wage is about $17.00 U.S. dollars a DAY it can be hard to purchase land and then purchase materials to build. This is especially true when your congregation consists of many people with below average incomes.

Grace Church received an extraordinary gift from Pastor Roger & Kumarie Dabideen...a gift of land in just the right location to build a church facility to house this growing congregation. After nine years of laboring in the harvest field Grace Church is on the move to build a facility they have been dreaming about and praying about for years. The foundation has been laid and the walls are going up. By the end of March the church will be ready to erect a roof. Now we need the friends of Caribbean Vision Ministries and Grace Church in Trinidad to give some generous gifts to pay for the roof of the building that will provide a home for a growing congregation.

The congregation and Caribbean Vision Ministries friends have given generously thus far to provide for the foundation and the walls but now we need a lot of friends to give generously so we can see the roof erected before the heavens open and the rains come pouring down. In this sub-tropical country June-December is rainy season. The roof is going to cost approximately $20,000.00 in U.S. dollars but the Grace Church congregation is trusting God to provide the resources just as He has provided for them during their nine year church history.

WE NEED YOUR HELP. Your generous gift will help our friends in Trinidad build a church home. Your generous gift to help with the materials for construction will be deeply appreciated by this growing church family. The Grace Church congregation is sacrificially giving to build this building and they are working at projects to raise money to pay the cost of the labor needed for the building. At the same time folks in the congregation are working on the building also.

While Grace Church is sacrificing to build a church facility their missionary zeal continues as they minister to their Brethren in Haiti who are in dire need themselves. They also share their Pastor each year to teach in seminars at Grace Theological Institute in Haiti where Pastors are trained. What a blessing to see the body of Christ in action in 2016.

Please PRAY often for our brothers and sisters at Grace Church in Trinidad as they pursue their God-given passion for a permanent church home. The new facility will enable them to have a worship and training center and provide an outreach point to take the gospel to the one and a half million people of Trinidad & Tobago and the surrounding islands of the Caribbean.

YOUR GIFTS CAN BE MAILED TO: CARIBBEAN VISION MINISTRIES, PO BOX 18317, PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL 32417. PLEASE MARK YOUR GIFTS: GRACE CHURCH TRINIDAD BUILDING FUND. ALL GIFTS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE.

DONATIONS CAN ALSO BE GIVEN ONLINE

Thank you for praying for Pastor Roger & Kumarie Dabideen and the Grace Church Trinidad family. God is using them in a great way to bring people into the family of God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Your prayers and gifts are producing a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom.

For His Kingdom,

Dr. Chuck Davis
